The Agricultural Cooperative Citrus St. George Laconia Skala, founded in 2005 under the name "Sparta Orange". Its foundation was carried out by a small group of producers with a great vision for the future, in order to control the distribution of their products in Greece and abroad.
In 2016, the Sparta Orange, counts 32 key members / producers, but also cooperates with more than 200 producers, mostly from the fertile and famous for its agricultural products, area of Laconia, who sell their products in the market through Sparta Orange. The total annual production of Sparta Orange is estimated at about 20,000 tons of citrus.
In May 2016 began operating the brand new packinghouse of Sparta Orange, in the region of Grammousa village in Municipality of Evrotas, Laconia (Read more about packinghouse here). The new facility was the reason for a new start of Sparta Orange, oriented to increase the export activity. Changing the logo is the result of this trend.

What actually we do
Production
We are producers. Our citrus gardens are near Evrotas river, in the fertile region of Laconia.
Search for new markets
We search for new markets to have a constantly growing sales network for our products.
Processing & packaging products
We have the infrastructure to process (washing, waxing) and pack the fruits in cartons, plastics or net.
Participation in expos & events
We take part in agricultural products exhibitions, in order to promote our products and citrus fruits in general.
Exportation-Tranding
We offer our products in the Greek market and globally. Our products are certified.
Continuous training producers
We constantly train our producers, in order to have the desired quality in our products.
